In silver-PDA hybridized nanocrystals, localized surface plasmon (LSP) from Ag-core disappeared, while the excitonic absorption from PDA-shell was red-shifted. From XPS, it was suggested that an optoelectronic core-shell interfacial interaction might depress the coherent cooperative drift motions of excited electrons, i.e., LSP.
