The Two Mode Thermal Klein–Gordon Equation for Ultra-Short Laser Pulse Interaction With Matter

In this paper the two mode thermal Klein–Gordon equation was derived and solved. It was shown that the interaction of ultra-short laser pulses with matter leads to a two mode excitation of electrons and phonons, which then diffuse with finite speeds.
