A New Frequency Reconfigurable Antenna
Pramendra Tilanthe and P.C. Sharma
A compact, linearly polarized, frequency reconfigurable antenna, capable of providing a frequency shift from 2.4GHz to 1.8GHz providing analogous radiation pattern is designed and investigated. The switching from one frequency band to another is achieved by using RF-MEMS switches. The radiation characteristics of frequency reconfigurable antenna are analyzed using FIT (Finite Integration Technique) and MOM (method of moment) methods. The results obtained from both the methods are in well agreement.
