Current and Voltage Mode Four Phase Quadrature Oscillator Using MOCCIIs

A simple technique is presented to realize a current mode four phase quadrature oscillator using second generation multi output current conveyors (MOCCIIs). The technique basically uses a MOCCII-based noninverting current-mode band-pass filter for the realization of the oscillator. A voltage mode version of the circuit is also derived without changing the circuit configuration. The realized oscillator enjoys attractive features such as use of low component count, independent frequency control, equal magnitudes, low sensitivity figures and load insensitive current outputs. The realized multiphase current-mode oscillator circuit is designed and verified with attractive results.
