In this article a low profile defected ground structure multiband monopole antenna with wide band for WLAN/WiMAX/5G/X bands applications has been presented. The proposed antenna consist of four pulse including the U shaped antenna with defected in the ground plane to crated wide band with multiband operations. The proposed antenna has generated multiband frequency range of (2.6GHz-6.7GHz)2.8GHz/6.2GHz and center frequency of this frequency band 4.65GHz, (7.6GHz-8.3GHz)/8 GHz and (8.9GHz-9.8GHz)/9.5GHz and impedance band widths are 88.17% for first band, 8.75% for second band and 9.47% for third band achieved. The proposed antenna has obtained simulated peak gain results are 4.25dBi for 2.8GHz, 3.5dBi for 6.2GHz, 5.75dBi for 8 GHz and 3.75dBi for 6.2GHz achieved and measured peak results gain are 4.1dBi for 2.8GHz, 3dBi for 6.2GHz, 5.1dBi for 8 GHz and 3.5dBi for 9.5GHz. The proposed antenna has occupied total area 25×25×0.8 mm3 with using microstrip fed on 50Ω impedance. This antenna has obtained VSWR simulated results are 1.4dB at 2.8GHz, 1.38dB at 6.2GHz, 1.36dB at 8GHz and 0.98dB at 9.5 GHz and measured VSWR results are 1.5dB at 2.8GHz, 1.5dB at 6.2GHz, 1.5dB at 8GHz and 1dB at 9.5 GHz. The proposed antenna has very closed agreements between simulated results and measured results.
