Critical parameters of alternative refrigerants and their mixtures

Values of the critical parameters for five refrigerants (HFC-32, HFC-125, HFC-134a, HFC-143a, and HFC-152a) were estimated from all available experimental information by a new method. The critical parameters for binary refrigerant mixtures HFC-32/HFC-125 and HFC-125/HFC-143a were measured by visual observation of the meniscus disappearance and reappearance. The uncertainties of the critical temperature, critical pressure, and critical density were estimated to be within 20 mK, 8 kPa, and 6 kg m-3 respectively.
