Multi Objective Energy Efficient Stability Based Clustering Protocol in WSN
M. Muthuselvi
Energy consumption, localization, coverage, deployment, network topology, etc. considered big challenges and design issues for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) that must be handled. To resolve those challenges. This research intends to obtain a multi-objective function of energy efficient stability-based clustering protocol (EESBCP) in WSN with constraints including energy, distance, delay, and stability period, and seeks to attain the goal by establishing a unique high-performance meta-heuristic algorithm termed Enhanced Elephant Herding Optimisation (EEHO). Improved Fuzzy C Means (IFCM) algorithm was used to identify multi-objective Model Cluster Head (CH). The objective function minimises the energy consumption of sensor nodes through the optimal selection of CHs, eventually results in the maintenance of energy balance between normal nodes. As a result, there is a significant improvement in performance parameters such as throughput, stability period, and network lifetime. In terms of the number of alive nodes, the proposed EEHO model has been 46.37 % superior to enhanced energy conservation based on residual energy and distance (EECRED), 17% superior to Balanced Residual Energy Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (BRELEECH), 15 % superior to improved LEACH (ILEECH), 23.24% greater to Improved Distributed Energy-Efficient Clustering (IDEEC), and 18% superior to Hybrid Energy Efficient Static Routing Protocol (HEESR).
