New Response Characteristics of HgCdTe Detector to Laser Radiation

Experimental studies were carried out on the response characteristics of HgCdTe detectors to laser radiation. Laser sources with the wavelengths of 1.06 µm, 1.319 µm and 3.8 µm were employed. Two photovoltaic and one photoconductive HgCdTe detectors were used. Such new phenomena as ‘Chaos’ and ‘Zero-output’ in the output of photovoltaic detectors were observed. A qualitative analysis was given.
