Current-Mode Universal Filter Employing Operational Amplifier Pole
N.A. Shah, S.Z. Iqbal and M.F. Rather
A new current-mode (CM) filter employing a single operational amplifier (OA), a single capacitor and three resistors is presented. The filter simultaneously realize lowpass (LP), bandpass(BP) and highpass (HP) filtering functions from the same topology while Notch (BS) and allpass (AP) responses can be implemented simply by connecting the appropriate node currents. The filter has extended range of frequency as it uses OA-pole model. The natural frequency (w0) and quality factor (Q) are adjustable in an non-interacting but sequential manner. The active and passive sensitivities are low. PSPICE simulation results are included to verify the workability of the proposed filter.
