High Performance Versatile Translinear-C Universal Filter

A novel circuit configuration realizing translinear-C (employing current controlled conveyors-CCCIIs and grounded capacitors) universal filter with high impedance current outputs and hence cascadable, is presented. All standard second order filter functions are realized without any additional active/passive elements. The circuit can also be operated in mixed mode with either voltage or current input and current or/and voltage outputs, thus the configuration is versatile. Simulation results using real device parameters of transistors NR100N and PR100N are included to show the practical utility of the proposed circuit.
