Low Volume Multiband and Multistrip Monopole Antenna for GSM/WLAN/WiMAX Applications

In this article, a low profile multiband and multistrip with microstrip-fed triple L shaped monopole antenna has proposed. The antenna is designed to operate at 1.8GHz, 3GHz and 5.8GHz bands for GSM, WLAN and WiMAX applications. Including insert three L strip to generating multiband operation and the impedance bandwidth are coving frequency range 1.7GHz -1.88GHz/1.8GHz, 2.8 GHz -3.4GHz/3GHz and 5.4GHz-6.8GHz/5.8 GHz. The proposed antenna total occupied area is 27×40×mm3 and impedance bandwidth are achieved are 22%, 20% and 24%. The antenna is design on ANSYS HFSS software. Radiation pattern of proposed antenna is crating of omni-directional. The proposed antenna has very miniaturized than the references antenna are discussed in this article.
