Comparing Output Line width and Temperature Tuning Range Between BaGa4Se7 and ZnGeP2

The output linewidth, temperature tuning range of BaGa4Se7 (BGSe) pumped at 1.06 μm and ZnGeP2 (ZGP) pumped at 2.1 μm are investigated. The output linewidth of the BGSe optical parametric oscillator (OPO) is 73 to 233 nm and 35 to 275 nm when the idler light is 2.93 to 7.65 μm (Type-I) and 3.01 to 8.9 μm (Type-II), respectively. The output linewidth of the ZGP OPO is 294 to 439 nm and 269 to 582 nm when the idler light is 3.11 to 3.36 μm (Type-I) and 5.69 to 7.75 μm (Type-II), respectively. The temperature tuning range of the BGSe OPO is 0.20 to 1.40 μm and of the ZGP OPO it is 0.10 to 0.29 μm when the temperature is from 300 to 500 K, respectively.
