Audit of articles published in an exclusive oral and maxillofacial pathology journal from Kerala State, India

This letter addresses a bibliometric study carried out in an exclusive oral and maxillofacial pathology journal from Kerala state, India. As you know the specialty oral pathology has grown immensely in Kerala in recent years with the formation of Kairali Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists (KSOMP) in 2007.1 Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Journal (OMPJ) is the official publication of the KSOMP, which publishes articles related to oral pathology. The OMPJ has been online since 2010 and it publishes articles semiannually. The main objective of this study is to analyze the efficacy of OMPJ as a mirror of Kerala oral pathology by auditing the articles published in OMPJ from 2010 to 2017 over an 8 year period.
