This paper presents a study of the viscosities of 1-butyl-3-methylimid-azolium tetrafluoroborate ([bmim][BF4]) + CO2 mixtures. The viscosities were measured using a rolling ball viscometer. The experimental temperature range was from 293.15 to 353.15 K and pressures of up to 20.0 MPa were applied. The CO2 mole fractions of the mixtures were in the range of up to 0.432. The experimental uncertainties in viscosity were estimated to be within ±3 0%. The experimental data were compared with the excess viscosity model, which correlated the experimental data within average absolute deviations (AAD) of 9.4%.
