Old City Publishing is pleased to announce Andrea Campeso as the new editor in chief of Display and Imaging.
Camposeo received a PhD in Physics from the University of Pisa. Currently, he is Senior Researcher at the Nanoscience Institute (NEST laboratory) of the National Research Council in Pisa, Italy.
His research activities include the development of optically-active micro- and nanostructures, the 3D printing for photonic applications, the development of advanced imaging and optical methods for organic photo-active materials, and the investigation of the optical properties of light-emitting polymers, composites, nanofibers, and of organic-based light-emitting devices.
He has authored or co-authored more than 130 papers on international, peer-reviewed scientific journals, and many invited contributions to international conferences.
Camposeo has also carried out the design, scientific coordination, and management of several national and international research projects, aimed at developing new micro- and nanostructures and devices for advanced optics and photonics. He is the co-founder of Soft Materials and Technologies S.r.l (SM&T S.r.l.), a spin-off company of the National Research Council (Institute of Nanosciences).
Camposeo was awarded the “Applied Physics” award at the XCVI Italian Physical Society meeting in 2010, the “CNR-Start-Cup” award in 2010, and the “Start-cup Puglia” award in 2011. He is the recipient of the xPRINT Consolidator Grant from the European Research Council.
