Hybrid Transmission and Energy Optimization Mechanism for Wireless Sensor Networks
Jinfeng Dou, Zhongwen Guo and Jiabao Cao
In the wireless sensor networks, prolonging network lifetime is an important task. Unbalanced energy consumption has a big impact on the network lifetime. First this study proposes hybrid transmission algorithms. The sensor node’s transmission mode is decided by two factors, the network scale and the probability. This study gives relationship among the transmission mode, the network scale, and the probability. A transmission probabilities finding algorithm can obtain a set of transmission probabilities to even out the energy consumption efficiently. Then, an energy optimization transmission algorithm is proposed to save more energy and to improve the network lifetime. Our claims are well supported by comparative simulations.
