Jean François Sacadura, co-editor-in-chief of High Temperatures – High Pressures, is the recipient of the 2019 International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer Fellowship Award.
ICHMT Fellows are selected from among the present and past members of the ICHMT Executive Committee (EC) and ICHMT Scientific Council (SC) in recognition of administrative or organizational services provided to the Centre. Examples of such services might include the successful organization of international symposia, seminars, advanced courses or other scientific events, contributions to ICHMT publishing activities, or long, active, and meritorious service on the EC or SC.
Emeritus Professor at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées, Lyon, Sacadura is a member of the French Thermal Society (chairman 1997-1999), the European Conference Thermophys. Properties (chairman 1993-1996), the University Thermal Group (founding member Eurotherm committee 1987-1997), and the French National Committee for Science Research. In 1986 he was named Chevalier of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques, being elevated to Officier in 1998 and, finally, Commandeur in 2005. In 1989 he was awarded the Academ-Institut National des Sciences Appliquées prize.
